The Story

The tale begins as Professor Layton, a true English gentleman and famous archeologist, drives to the remote settlement of St. Mystere with his apprentice, Luke, in response to a request from the widow of a wealthy baron. The baron’s will indicates that the family treasure, the Golden Apple, is hidden somewhere within the village, and whoever finds it will inherit the whole of the Reinhold Estate. The Professor and Luke must search the town for clues leading to the precious heirloom.

Layton's Challenges Professor Layton, being the intelligent puzzle master he is, leaves to Luke some extra and quite difficult puzzles for the player to complete after you complete each installment of the Professor Layton series. These difficult puzzles give you 50 to 99 Picarats and are known as Layton's Challenges. . The puzzle names may be scrambled. Press down, then up to unscramble the names. This code unlocks all the puzzles in the game, not just the weekly puzzles. This code disables saving. Make sure you turn the code off if you want to play the main game again. Some of the puzzles will have blank names. Professor Layton and the Curious Village was the first in the puzzle-solving detective series to introduce the world to the titular professor and his apprentice Luke, Layton's very own Watson. The Puzzle Solutions section contains a full list of ways to crack the 130+ puzzles in Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask. As with every Professor Layton game, puzzles are the name of the game.
