New Year’s Eve Fireworks. In past years, the Concord NYE Vancouver event took place in and around Canada Place and the Vancouver Convention Centre in downtown Vancouver between 7 pm and just after midnight on December 31st. The 2019 event was cancelled so organizers could improve and relocate the 2020/21 event.

A change of scene for the Vancouver new years eve fireworks thisyear, with the Coal Harbour venue taking the year off, and this yearinstead the main fireworks show will take place at East False Creek,with the pyrotechnics launched from a series of barges, which willalso be synchronised with a light show on the nearby buildings.

The new spot is at Concord Pacific Place and East False Creek,between the Cambie Street Bridge and Science World, although thiswill be for one year only, with a new venue expected to be announcedfor the new year 2021 celebration.

If you are hitting the town for the party then there is once againthis year the bonus of free public transport home provided by bus,SeaBus and Skytrain right through until 5am on new years day.

Concord's NYE VAN

Running alongside the big public party and also starting at 7pm will be a ticketed indoorevent at the West Building of the Vancouver Convention Center,including musical guests performing live on the Peak Stage in theWest Ballroom with entertainment and music throughout the evening,including hourly countdowns in the build up towards midnight.

When midnight arrives you will find that the barge from which thefireworks are launched has been perfectly postioned so that peopleat the indoor party still have a perfect view without having toventure out into the cold!
